SAO Alumni News

• On Thursday 21 October 2008, SAO proudly graduated another 16 new alumni members - 4 Graduate Certificate of Science students and 12 Master of Science students. Congratulations to all 16 graduates! • The SAO Honour Roll has now been updated with the top students for each SAO unit in S1-2008. No doubt some of our newest alumni are on the list! for details, see the honour roll website.
• The 2007 FICT Awards for Excellence ceremony was held on 11 September 2008. Alister Graham (S208 HET606 instructor) and Glen Mackie (S208 HET612 instructor) attended this Faculty event. Graeme Knight won the Palgrave Macmillan Award for the most outstanding final-year student in the Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy). Eduardo Alvarez won the Australian Sky and Telescope award for the most outstanding final-year student in the Master of Science (Astronomy). Congratulations to both Graeme and Eduardo.
