Dr. Rossi Ruggeri

With the aid of millions of galaxies, cosmology, as a data driven discipline, investigates the physics just after the Big-Bang, when the seeds of anisotropies ( later becoming galaxies through gravity ) were created and the effect of dark energy driving the evolution of the Universe today. In my work I focus on how we can use galaxy redshift surveys to test theoretical models. In particular how to efficiently measure the cosmological parameters as well as test models of dark energy and modified gravity using observables like Baryon Acoustic Oscillations and Redshift-space distortions. Collaborations: DESI, LSST, Taipan, (eBOSS)
