Sarah Burke

Hello! I am a PhD student working with Matthew Bailes (at Swinburne), Dick Manchester, and Simon Johnston (at ATNF). My research is involved in searching for very quickly rotating pulsars, and using an array of those pulsars spread across the sky to search for signals from Gravitational Waves. The aim of my PhD is to improve models of galaxy evolution by determining what the results (detections or nondetections of GWs) of pulsar timing can imply for these models.
