My research is on the formation and evolution of galaxies, especially focused on elliptical galaxies. It is still unclear how elliptical galaxies were
formed and evolved. How much merger and interaction have they experienced? And did these events trigger new star formation or altered their structures, perhaps
transforming their morphologies into something else altogether? Treating them like fossil records, I perform a kind of "galaxy archaeology" on them. Important
information can be obtained from their dynamics and their stellar contents, which provide a unique record of a galaxy's past.
