• The course will run for 6 weeks.
• Each week you will need to access online course material (with accompanying downloadable PDF files) to work through.
• Each week you will participate in an online newsgroup, discussing that week's course material. There will be a maximum of 30 students per SAOSC term/class.
• Set questions will be posted to the newsgroup by the instructor each week for the group to discuss.
• As well as answering set questions, each student should post at least one question of their own and one answer each week.
• There will also be a website of appropriate astronomy links to learn more about the topics discussed in the weekly presentations and newsgroups.
• Additional support material will be available for teachers, including class room activities associated with the syllabus each week.
